Introducing: Monks Astrology

If you have been to Legend Bridal you will have seen the exquisite couples astrology charts, birth Zodiac charts and mindfulness clocks created by Monks Astrology.

These unique pieces of art are an incredibly beautiful representation of a relationship; mapped to a wedding date (or other specific date). They are more than a beautiful picture - they come with a wonderful in-depth explanation how the couple dovetail and work together. An extremely beautiful celebration or gift.

Kathryn is joining us at the TilDeath Gothic Luxe Wedding Fair next Sunday on the 22nd January; not only to show you how truly stunning these charts are, but she will be hosting an introductory talk on love astrology… I absolutely cant’ wait!

Seats for the introductory Love Astrology talk are limited, so make sure you make your way to the choir stalls early (… currently scheduled for 1:30pm but check stories on the day in case there are any changes)

But until then…

What do you do?

I make laser engraved, Swarovski crystal embellished astrological charts, some as clocks, and esoteric jewellery. I make charts for weddings, anniversaries or any event with a date, time and place. I also design and make corporate commemorative artwork.

My work is based on both my studies and mystical experiences. It has taken many years of practice to be fluent in astrology and many years of making to be a skilled craftswoman, both of these things come together in my designs.

I also read people’s charts. Charts should be seen as tools for self development, and to lead your best life

How did you get in to this?

The subject of the esoteric and mystical has always been with me. The desire to make things has been with me too as a means of empirical learning, and a business developed from here. I started with making my own chart, to learn astrology, then started to make charts for other astrologers too. As I made charts for businesses, my work became more visible with demand from a wider audience.

I have also been a stained glass designer and have a City and Guilds in bench joinery, and a degree in fine art. A laser machine was an addition to my tool based workshop in Darwen.

Prior to my arts career, I was a psychiatric nurse, but retrained myself in a more ‘hearts desire’ lifestyle.

What’s the process of working with you?

The best way to work with me is to talk to me and we can discuss what you’re after, whether it’s a small necklace or a large astro clock, it’s you, the client, that’s important.

What’s the piece of advice you would give?

The answers are written in the stars

What are your proudest moments?

Alongside being invited to be the resident astrologer at Whitby Goth festival this April, my proudest moments have been my first international sale, which was to an astrologer in New Zealand. I have been features in Lancashire Life Magazine twice, commissioned to make a stained glass window for Horwich Spiritualized Church and have a sculpture in Blackburn Cathedral. I also have a series of videos on YouTube “The astrology of…” (Harold Shipman etc.) and I will be a speaker at the Megalithic Conference 2022.
